8 Scriptures on the Promises of God

The Bible contains powerful verses that remind us of God’s promises for different things that we desire in life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17(ESV) reminds us that, All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. You can rest assured that all you are trusting God for will come to pass because His promises are true and He is a dependable God.

Are you facing a tough situation and are wondering how you will sail through it? May you find comfort in knowing that all things are working together for your good and victory is your portion. Here are some Scriptures you can ponder on as you wait on God.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11(ESV)

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:19 (RSV)

By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire 2 Peter 1:4 (ESV)

But he who listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of evil Proverbs 1:33 (RSV)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 (ESV)

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9(RSV)

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (ESV)
