Gratitude out of Season

How many times do we find ourselves lamenting in challenging times? We are quick to tell God thank you for the blessings and provision in our lives but quickly forget about all that in times of trial. We tend to notice the few misfortunes we encounter easily and overlook the positive side of things.

We sometimes ask if God loves us so much, why do we suffer. If God is so good, why do we have so much evil, trouble and wickedness? God is good all the time. This is not just a statement; it is a reality. God is good in the good and bad, in the highs and lows, in the bright and dark times.

It is possible to have gratitude in uncertainty. A good case study is Job. Remember how he was advised by his wife to curse God and die. We are tempted to take an easy escape and show God that we are tired of his silence.

The Bible reminds us that we should be full of gratitude, in season or out of season. God knows our end from our beginning. Whatever that it will take us to align to His will, He will do it. Not to make us suffer but because he loves us. Give thanks continually.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18(KJV).
