When God Leads the Way

Recently I watched a video of mother hen securing her chicks from a vulture that hovered around a certain homestead. The chicks were five in number yet, mother hen hid them under her wings. This made me contemplate of God’s greatness. He looks after the whole world, not five of us. He protects us from our enemies and preserve us from all evil like mother hen would do. Far be it from me to compare God with a hen. He is incomparable but it is a wonder how through the creation, God reveals Himself.

God looks out for the good of His people. Day after day, He is constant in this because we are His children. He knows us perfectly well and our being is constantly before Him. Even now, He is aware of what is happening. He has eyes. When he says nothing in the creation is laid uncovered and laid bare before Him, it is true. We can be sure He knows how we will get out of our tribulations.  Isaiah 46: 16 has been a great encouragement.

“See (Behold), I have engraved(inscribed) you on the palms of My hands. Your walls are ever(continually) before me.”

Entrusting our lives to God is the most we can do this season. We keep our confidence in being covered under the shadow of His wings where we are safe. No other place we rather be. And if God is for us, with us, nothing can be against us. You must have heard or seen these lyrics somewhere in the internet. Could you recite them repeatedly because they are true?

If God be for us, who can be against us?

If God be for us who can be against us?

I am loved I am saved, I am free.

I am loved, I am saved, I am free.

Abraham was about to send his servant Eliezer to find a wife for Isaac when he prayed to the Lord who had appeared to him in his father’s land. This God walked with him and even at this point, he was not about to leave him. He assured Eliezer that God would go before Him through His Angels (Genesis 24:7). True to his faith, Eliezer had a successful mission. Beloved, God goes before you. The Psalmist says, God preserves our going out and coming in. Why don’t we take God at His Word? More grace to do so.
