10 Scriptures on overcoming sickness
Have you been sick or are you taking care of a loved one who is unwell? The truth is most of us have been in either of these situations. Right?
There Bible records the story of Jairus in Mark 5:21-43. Jairus was a leader in the Synagogue. He was very well known and respected because of the position he held. He was however faced with a tough situation where his daughter was very sick and died (Mark 5:35). Jairus needed an urgent miracle, he was helpless, yet Jesus was not nearby.
Sometimes we face situations when we not only need a solution, but need it now! When Jairus told Jesus about his situation he told him not to be afraid but to have faith. Jairus needed to see his daughter back to life. He had faith that Jesus would heal her, and she was indeed brought back to life through Christ’s miraculous power.
If you need healing, say a prayer of faith, and know that the Lord will heal you. Jesus feels every bit of the pain you feel. Never be afraid to bring your needs to Jesus. He is willing and ready to help you only if you have faith.
The Bible is filled with verses about healing. Jesus came to heal and save us not only from physical sickness but also from spiritual sickness. May His Word inspire confidence in you of God’s magnificent grace and mercy for you.
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. Jeremiah 17:14 (ESV)
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects James 5:16 (RSV)

The Lord will help them when they are sick and will restore them to health. Psalm 41:3 (GNT)

Prayer
Our Father we thank you because you love and care for us. Help us never to look for solutions from anywhere else but from you alone because you are unchanging. We trust you to heal us individually, corporately as the Church, our Country Kenya, and the nations of the world from the many diseases and challenges that we face, even as we put our trust in you.
