Counting your blessings

What does it mean to count your blessings? Well, simply put, it is being thankful for everything in life. Do you realize that there are things in life that you may take for granted yet someone else is struggling to do them? Do you find yourself complaining more than being grateful? When was the last time you took stock of what God has done for you? Food for thought.

Counting your blessings means taking note of all the things God has done in your life. When trials come, remind yourself how God helped you and know that He allows things to happen for a reason and He is in charge.

Remember that God never forsakes His people and be thankful because He never breaks His promises. May these verses encourage you as you purpose to count your blessings.

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Psalm 105:1(ESV)

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Psalm 68:19(ESV)
