On My Knees
If there is one way that you can express your thoughts and emotions without fear of being judged and dismissed is prayer. Jeremiah 29:12 (RSV) says, ‘’Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.’’ This is not just an assurance but a promise from God our father.
Many times, we also wonder what the correct way is to pray. Sure, enough Jesus showed us through the Lord’s prayer model but it’s not all the time we will use this prayer. How then are we supposed to approach our lord? 1 John 5:14-15 sheds more light into this topic.
These are the things that we can pick:
- We need to have confidence that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us
- His will should be the centre of our prayers
- We should have no doubt that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
What is it that you have been praying for? Don’t give up. God hears you and he will answer you in due time.
